Squarespace form submissions reach the project through Zapier

Before you start

Any Squarespace website plan except Basic/Personal (Core, Plus, Advanced, Business or Commerce), and admin access to create an API key. Webhooks by Zapier is a premium Zapier app, so the Zap needs a paid Zapier plan (or use Pabbly Connect / Make).
Steps use Zapier. Pabbly Connect and Make work the same way: same trigger, then their send-to-URL action (API by Pabbly / HTTP - Make a request) with the LeedsApp URL.

Set it up in Squarespace

Connect the form to ZapierIn Squarespace edit the page, edit your Form Block and open the Storage tab. Choose Zapier and follow the prompt. The tab shows Awaiting Connection until the Zap is on.

Start a Zap with SquarespaceIn Zapier click + Create › Zap workflows. For the trigger pick Squarespace Forms, event New Form Submission. To connect, create an API key with Forms permission in Squarespace (Settings › Developer tools › Developer API keys) and paste it in Zapier, then choose your form.

Add Webhooks by ZapierAdd the action Webhooks by Zapier, event POST.

Paste your LeedsApp URLPaste your LeedsApp URL in URL and set Payload Type to JSON.

Map the fields and testUnder Data add name, phone, email, city and message, picking each answer from the Squarespace form, then click Test step; a reply with code: success means LeedsApp got the lead.

Publish and testClick Publish. Submit the form on your live site; the lead reaches the project within a few minutes (Zapier checks on its own schedule).

Lead source: Squarespace. Only the keys you add in Zapier are sent.

If leads don't arrive

  • Only one live Zap can be connected to a form; turn off any older Zap first.
  • Forms are all called New Form by default; rename yours in Squarespace if Zapier shows several.
  • The Zapier test shows sample data only; send a real submission to check.
  • A 400 reply saying The mobile number is not valid means the phone answer was not a real mobile number. Map the phone question, not another field.
  • Only Form Blocks, Newsletter Blocks and Cover Page forms can connect to Zapier; product or order forms cannot.
