Before you start
You need a paid Zapier plan (Professional or higher; Webhooks by Zapier is not on the Free plan) and a Snapchat Business account with access to the ad account that runs the lead form.
Steps use Zapier. Snapchat's own lead webhook can only be set up through Snap's developer API, so Zapier is the simplest way. Pabbly Connect and Make work the same way if they offer a Snapchat lead trigger.
Your Snapchat Lead Ads lead URL
Your lead URL appears here when you open this page from the LeedsApp app: open the project, then Lead integrations and Snapchat Lead Ads.
Set it up in Snapchat Lead Ads
1
Create a ZapLog in at zapier.com, click + Create in the left sidebar and choose Zap workflows.
2
Pick Snapchat Lead Generation as the triggerSearch for Snapchat Lead Generation and pick the event New Lead. Sign in with your Snapchat Business account, then pick your organization, ad account and lead form.
3
Test the triggerOpen the Test tab and click Test trigger. Pick one lead and click Continue with selected record.
4
Add Webhooks by ZapierClick + to add an action. Search for Webhooks by Zapier, pick the event POST and click Continue.
5

6
Map the lead's detailsUnder Data, add rows. Type the key on the left and pick the Snapchat answer on the right: first_name = First Name, last_name = Last Name, phone = Phone Number, email = Email.
7
Test and publishClick Test step. A reply with status 200 means LeedsApp got the lead. Then click Publish so the Zap stays on.
What LeedsApp saves
Snapchat Lead Ads sendsSaved on the lead asfirst_name + last_nameName
Lead source: Snapchat. Snapchat sends only the questions your form asks, so include Phone number and a name question; a lead without them is not saved. If the number is already a lead, LeedsApp adds this project to that lead.phoneMobile numberemailEmailany other key you addCustom fieldIf leads don't arrive
- Open Zap runs in Zapier and look at the Webhooks step. A 400 reply with insufficient-data means the name or the phone number was empty.
- Check the Zap is published (switched on). A Zap left as a draft sends nothing.
- If you moved the leads to another project, copy the URL again from that project and paste it in the Webhooks step.
- No leads in Zapier? Check that you picked the same lead form that is attached to the running ad.
- A 400 reply saying The mobile number is not valid means the phone answer was not a real mobile number. Map the phone question, not another field.
