Before you start
You need a Make account. Each lead uses credits from your plan; the free plan has a small monthly allowance.
Steps use Make's HTTP Make a request module, which works after any trigger module.
Your Make lead URL
Your lead URL appears here when you open this page from the LeedsApp app: open the project, then Lead integrations and Make.
Set it up in Make
1
Create a scenarioLog in at make.com, open Scenarios and click Create a new scenario.
2
Add your lead appClick the big + and pick the app where your leads arrive, with its module that watches for new leads or entries. Connect your account.
3
Add HTTP Make a requestClick + next to the first module, search for HTTP and choose Make a request.
4
Set the URL and body typeSet Authentication type to No authentication. Paste the lead URL from this page into URL. Set Method to POST, Body content type to application/JSON and Body input method to JSON string.
5
Type the lead's detailsIn the body box type the four keys below. Between each pair of quotes, drop in the matching value from your lead app's module.
6
Test and turn onClick Run once and send one test lead from your app. The HTTP module should show status 200. Save the scenario and switch it on.
What LeedsApp saves
Make sendsSaved on the lead as
Lead source: Make. Use these four keys; LeedsApp also reads first_name + last_name and mobile. Every lead needs a name and a valid mobile number. Any other key you add is saved as a custom field. If the number is already a lead, LeedsApp adds this project to it.nameNamephoneMobile numberemailEmailcityCityany other key you addCustom fieldIf leads don't arrive
- Open the scenario's History and check the HTTP module's output. 400 with insufficient-data means the name or phone was empty.
- A name with a double quote (") can break the JSON string. Remove it in your lead app, or use Data structure as the body input method instead.
- Check the scenario is switched on, not only run once.
- A 400 reply saying The mobile number is not valid means the phone answer was not a real mobile number. Map the phone question, not another field.
