Leads from your LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms reach the project through Zapier

Before you start

You need a paid Zapier plan (Professional or higher; Webhooks by Zapier is not on the Free plan) and a LinkedIn account with access to the ad account that runs the form.
Steps use Zapier. LeedsApp has no direct LinkedIn connection, so Zapier picks up each new form response and sends it to your lead URL. Pabbly Connect, Make and n8n work the same way if you prefer them: use their LinkedIn lead trigger and an HTTP POST step.

Your LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms lead URL

Your lead URL appears here when you open this page from the LeedsApp app: open the project, then Lead integrations and LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms.

Set it up in LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms

1
Create a ZapLog in at zapier.com, click + Create in the left sidebar and choose Zap workflows.
2
Pick LinkedIn Ads as the triggerSearch for LinkedIn Ads and pick the event New Lead Gen Form Response (Sponsored content). Sign in to LinkedIn when asked, then choose your ad account and the lead form. For forms on your company page posts, pick New Lead Gen Form Response (Organic Content) instead.
3
Test the triggerOpen the Test tab and click Test trigger. Pick one lead and click Continue with selected record.
4
Add Webhooks by ZapierClick + to add an action. Search for Webhooks by Zapier, pick the event POST and click Continue.
5
Paste your LeedsApp URLSet Payload Type to JSON. In URL, paste the lead URL from this page.
6
Map the lead's detailsUnder Data, add four rows. Type the key on the left and pick the LinkedIn answer on the right: name = First Name and Last Name, phone = Phone Number, email = Email Address, city = City.
7
Test and publishClick Test step. A reply with status 200 means LeedsApp got the lead. Then click Publish so the Zap stays on.

What LeedsApp saves

LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms sendsSaved on the lead asnameNamephoneMobile numberemailEmailcityCityany other key you addCustom field
Lead source: LinkedIn. LinkedIn forms ask for a phone number only if you add that question, so add Phone number to the form; a lead with no phone is not saved. If the number is already a lead, LeedsApp adds this project to that lead instead of making a second one.

If leads don't arrive

  • Open Zap runs in Zapier and look at the Webhooks step. A 400 reply with insufficient-data means the name or the phone number was empty.
  • Check the Zap is published (switched on). A Zap left as a draft sends nothing.
  • If you moved the leads to another project, copy the URL again from that project and paste it in the Webhooks step.
  • No leads in Zapier? Make sure the form you picked is the one used in the running campaign, and that your LinkedIn user has a role on that ad account.
  • A 400 reply saying The mobile number is not valid means the phone answer was not a real mobile number. Map the phone question, not another field.
